Job Type: Paid Fellowship
Compensation: $25/hr plus up to $500/month home office expense reimbursement
Time commitment: Full-time, 6 month fellowship beginning Jan 5, 2026
Location: Hybrid in the DC/Alexandria Area

About the Position
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to provide administrative support and assist in our donor engagement efforts. Partnering closely with the Operations team, this position will have the opportunity to directly expand our impact through the development and implementation of strategies that foster long-term relationships with donors. This position is perfect for an individual seeking entry-level development experience and who has an interest in non-profit fundraising, strong time management, and a desire to learn in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on prospective and current donors using publicly available information
- Draft research memos to prepare senior leadership for calls/pitches
- Assist with donor acknowledgment processes and stewardship activities
- Support event planning and execution for donor cultivation and recognition as needed
- Performing administrative duties such as gift tracking, prospect tracking, receipt coding and correspondence
- Completing assorted errands in the DC area in support of the Operations team
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet expected deadlines
- Maintain high standard of work in a nimble, fast paced environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Must have a vehicle that can be used for local tasks and errands
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Interest in nonprofit fundraising and development
- Willingness to enthusiastically complete administrative tasks to support the department
- Proven background in operations (tracking receipts, etc) preferred
- Familiarity with Salesforce and/or MailChimp is preferred
